Saturn in the 10th House — Kantaka Shani for Mithun (to 2 June and from 20 October 2027)

Saturn in a kendra from the Moon (1st, 4th, 7th or 10th) is popularly called Kantaka Shani, and for Mithun the 10th-house transit through Meen falls in this group from 1 January to 2 June and again from 20 October 2027. Vedha: When Good Transits Get Blocked for Mithun

Vedha is the classical rule that a good transit can be obstructed by another planet in a paired house. Mars has an unusual year: it turns retrograde in Simha on 10 January, slips back to Karka on 10 March, turns direct on 1 April and returns to Simha on 26 April. For Mithun, Mars in Simha is the 3rd house, a good house for Mars,^[2] and Phaladeepika promises courage, victory and pleasure from gold ornaments there^[17] — useful energy for sport, sales and sibling projects from 26 April to 5 July.
