Trikaal Sandesh — Direct Answer

Delhi vivah muhurat for April 2027 has four dates in the Trikaal Vaani engine list: 16, 21, 23 and 28 April. The 16 and 23 April windows sit largely inside Bhadra, so discuss them with your pandit first. The 21 and 28 April windows are clear of Bhadra. The list starts after Meena Kharmas ends around 14 April.

Deep Dive Analysis

April 2027 Vivah Muhurat in One Minute

The Trikaal Vaani panchang engine lists four vivah muhurat dates for Delhi in April 2027: 16, 21, 23 and 28 April. Two of them need a careful conversation with your pandit, because the 16 April and 23 April windows sit largely inside Bhadra (Vishti karana). The 21 April and 28 April windows are clear of Bhadra. The season reopens only after Meena Kharmas ends around 14 April, so there is no earlier date. Test your own city with the free Shubh Muhurat Calculator before you plan anything.

Why April Starts So Late

From about 15 March to about 14 April 2027 the Sun is in Meena, and weddings are traditionally paused in this Meena Kharmas. By our calculation the Sun enters Mesha on about 14 April at about 3:15 PM IST, which reopens the wedding season. Treat that minute as approximate and confirm it in the daily panchang. The engine therefore finds nothing before 16 April. For the dates that came just before the pause, read the March 2027 vivah muhurat page, and open Vivah Muhurat 2027 for the whole year.

April 2027 Shubh Vivah Dates at a Glance

Listed 16 April, Friday: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, Moon in Magha, Ekadashi, Meen lagna. Listed 21 April, Wednesday: 3:35 AM to 4:45 AM, Swati, Dwitiya, Meen lagna. Listed 23 April, Friday: 2:14 PM to 4:24 AM the next morning, Anuradha, Tritiya, Vrischik lagna. Listed 28 April, Wednesday: 5:50 AM to 12:35 PM, Uttara Ashadha, Saptami, Mithun lagna. All timings are for Delhi from the Trikaal Vaani Jyotish engine. For help choosing, read the 2027 wedding dates guide.

How to Read These Dates: Panchang Day Versus Calendar Day

A panchang day runs from one sunrise to the next. When the engine lists 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM under 16 April, those hours fall on the calendar morning of Saturday 17 April, because they are the tail end of the panchang day that began at sunrise on 16 April. We checked this: on the morning of 17 April the Moon is in Magha and Shukla Ekadashi is running, exactly as the 16 April entry says. The 21 April entry likewise falls in the early hours of Thursday 22 April, when Dwitiya begins at about 3:35 AM. Confirm the exact night with your pandit and the daily panchang.

16 April Listing: Early Hours of Saturday 17 April

The window runs from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM. The Moon is in Magha, a nakshatra named in the classical marriage list [1], and the tithi is Shukla Ekadashi. The lagna is Meen, a dual (dwiswabhava) sign that the engine rates as good. Here is the honest caution: the Vishti (Bhadra) karana runs from about 10:26 PM on 16 April to about 9:30 AM on 17 April, so the whole window lies inside Bhadra. Muhurta Chintamani places Bhadra in the later half of Shukla Ekadashi [3], which matches this timing, and the classical rule asks us to avoid Vishti at a wedding [2]. Discuss this date with your pandit before booking.

21 April Listing: Early Hours of Thursday 22 April

The window runs from 3:35 AM to 4:45 AM. The Moon is in Swati, a classical marriage nakshatra [1], and Dwitiya begins at about 3:35 AM, right at the start of the window. The lagna is Meen, rated good. The karana is Taitila, so the window is clear of Bhadra. The window closes at about the time the Moon moves out of Swati into Vishakha, so the main rituals must be finished by then. Seventy minutes is tight, so plan the pheras and sindoor with the pandit minute by minute, and keep elders warm and comfortable for a pre-dawn ceremony.

23 April Listing: Afternoon into the Early Hours of 24 April

The window runs from 2:14 PM on Friday 23 April to 4:24 AM on Saturday 24 April. The Moon is in Anuradha, a classical marriage nakshatra [1], throughout, and the tithi is Krishna Tritiya. The engine lists lagna Vrischik, a fixed sign rated best. The honest caution is Bhadra: Vanija karana runs until about 3:56 PM, and then Vishti runs until about 4:22 AM on 24 April. Only the first hour and forty minutes of the window are clear, and the rest lies inside Bhadra, which Muhurta Chintamani places in the later half of Krishna Tritiya [3]. Ask your pandit whether the family wants to use only the early slot.

28 April Listing: Wednesday Morning Window

Wednesday 28 April gives the longest clear window of the month, from 5:50 AM to 12:35 PM. The Moon is in Uttara Ashadha, one of the three Uttara nakshatras in the classical list [1], and the tithi is Krishna Saptami until about 12:35 PM, when Ashtami begins. The lagna is Mithun, a dual sign rated good. The Vishti karana of the first half of Krishna Saptami ends before 5:00 AM, and the window then runs through Bava and Balava, so it is clear of Bhadra. Plan the main pheras before noon and check the Rahu Kaal for the day in the daily panchang.

Which of the Four Dates Suits You

Choose 28 April if you want a morning ceremony with a long clear window and no Bhadra. Choose 21 April only if the family is comfortable with a very short pre-dawn slot. Treat 16 April as a date to discuss with your pandit, since the whole window lies in Bhadra. Treat 23 April as an early-slot option only, for the same reason. Whatever you choose, match the couple first. Run the Kundali matching guide and the Manglik Dosh Calculator before fixing the hall. A calm, written shortlist of two dates saves weeks of discussion between families.

How the Trikaal Vaani Engine Chooses These Dates

The engine reads the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsa and tests every day for nakshatra, tithi, yoga, karana and lagna rules drawn from the classical muhurat texts. It also excludes Kharmas, Adhik Maas and Chaturmas. A date reaches the list only if it passes the main combination, and the result is shown for a chosen city. As the 16 and 23 April entries show, the list is a starting point and the karana at your own city still needs a check. See how a panchang is built in the daily panchang and the tithi guide, and read the 2027 lucky dates and yoga guide.

Why Magha, Swati, Anuradha and Uttara Ashadha Matter

The classical wedding rule in Brihat Samhita names the Moon nakshatras fit for marriage: Rohini, the three Uttaras, Revati, Mrigashira, Mula, Anuradha, Magha, Hasta and Swati [1]. All four April windows fall on a nakshatra from that list, namely Magha, Swati, Anuradha and Uttara Ashadha. Nakshatra is only one filter, though. Tithi, yoga, karana and lagna must also pass. For a plain-language tour of the 27 stars, see the nakshatra guide and find your own star with the free Nakshatra Calculator.

What to Avoid Even on a Shubh Date

Brihat Samhita asks us to set aside the Vyatipata and Vaidhriti yoga days, the Vishti (Bhadra) karana and Rikta tithis [2]. A good nakshatra does not cancel these. This is why we show the karana for each April window and flag the two that sit in Bhadra. If your pandit prefers a stricter filter than the engine, you may drop 16 and 23 April and keep the other two. Learn how a tithi is found in the tithi guide and check your own day in the daily panchang.

Bhadra Explained in Plain Language

Bhadra is the name used for the Vishti karana, one of the 11 karanas, each lasting half a tithi. It recurs through the lunar month and is traditionally considered unfit for starting auspicious work. Muhurta Chintamani places it by tithi half, for example the later half of Shukla Ekadashi or Krishna Tritiya [3], which is exactly where the 16 and 23 April windows fall. Its start and end change every cycle, so you cannot memorise a weekday rule. Our panchang and choghadiya guide explains the daily cycle in simple steps.

Lagna Quality: Sthira, Dwiswabhava and Chara

The engine rates lagna by sign type. Fixed (sthira) signs are the strongest for a long marriage, dual (dwiswabhava) signs are good, and movable (chara) signs are weak. In April the engine shows Meen and Mithun as dual and good, and Vrischik as fixed and best. No movable lagna appears. The engine lists one lagna for each date, so ask your pandit to name the exact lagna slot inside the window. Learn what the rising sign means in the ascendant guide and check yours with the Lagna Calculator.

Mesha Sankranti and the End of Kharmas

When the Sun enters Mesha, the pause of Meena Kharmas ends and the season reopens. In 2027 this happens on about 14 April by our calculation. Several regional new-year festivals also fall around this time, so ask venues early about availability. For the planetary meaning of such solar ingresses, read the Makar Sankranti astrology guide, which explains how a Sankranti is read. Always confirm the exact minute with the pandit.

Planning a Pre-Dawn or Early-Morning Wedding

Two of the four listings sit in the small hours of the morning and the 28 April window starts shortly after sunrise. A ceremony at 3 AM means guests arrive the previous evening, so build in dinner, rest and a clear timeline for the baraat. Ask the pandit which rituals can be shortened without breaking the main steps, and book photographers and caterers who accept an overnight schedule. Decide early whether the family will host a separate reception on a later day, so that the pre-dawn ceremony stays small and calm.

Summer Heat and Your April Wedding

Delhi and North India turn hot by late April. The 28 April window ends at 12:35 PM, so the pheras should finish well before the afternoon heat. Plan shade, cooling and drinking water for an open mandap, light clothes for guests, and extra travel time for the baraat. If you choose the 23 April afternoon start, remember that the early slot falls in the hottest part of the day. Elders and children need rest areas, so ask the venue about air cooling in advance.

Why Your City Changes the Window

All timings above are for Delhi. Sunrise, lagna and the moment a tithi or karana changes depend on latitude and longitude, so a window in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru or London will start and end at different clock times. A date can even drop out of the list for another city. Use the Shubh Muhurat Calculator for your own place and open the Vivah Muhurat page to compare cities. For overseas weddings, give your pandit the local city and time zone.

Match Kundalis Before You Fix a Date

A muhurat is the stage, but the kundali match decides whether the two people suit each other. Check guna score, Nadi, Bhakoot and Manglik status before you book. Our Kundali matching service and the guide to 36 guna milan show what each score means. Read about Bhakoot dosh and Nadi dosh remedies if the report flags them, and use the direct Kundali Milan tool for a quick check.

Manglik Couples and the April Dates

If one partner is Manglik, the date matters less than the match. Mars placement, its strength and the partner chart decide the effect, and a low score is rarely a verdict on its own. Use the Manglik Dosh Calculator and read Mangal dosh and marriage compatibility. For common questions see Manglik myths and does Mangal dosh end after 28. Practical upay are in Mangal dosh remedies. Remedies are calm and affordable, never fear-based.

Dasha Period and Marriage Timing

A shubh muhurat does not replace a supportive dasha. The running mahadasha and antardasha show whether the chart is ready for a marriage event now, and the free Dasha Calculator gives your sequence in seconds. If you are still asking when marriage will happen, try the Shadi Kab Hogi Calculator and read what age will I get married. Delay has many causes, see why is my marriage delayed for the usual chart patterns.

Jupiter and Venus in Your Chart, Not in General

Jupiter is the karaka of marriage for women and Venus for men, and both are read together with the seventh house for everyone. Rather than relying on a general rule about the sky in April, check where these two sit in your own chart and how strong they are. The Planet strength calculator shows each graha at a glance, and the planets guide explains their roles. The 2027 retrograde predictions show which planets turn back during the year.

Booking Timeline: Halls, Pandits and Vendors

With only four muhurat windows in the month and two of them needing care around Bhadra, demand for halls, pandits, caterers and photographers is likely to concentrate on 21 and 28 April, so book early. A sensible order is: confirm the kundali match, pick the date with your pandit, book the venue, then book the pandit and the rest. Keep a written backup date in May. Keep a buffer for family travel as well. The wedding dates guide for 2027 lists simple steps for choosing the date in the first place.

Engagement and Roka Before an April Wedding

Roka, tilak and engagement can be fixed on a separate shubh day, and many families do them in the weeks after Kharmas ends. Pick those days with the same care you give the wedding date: check nakshatra, tithi and the karana in the daily panchang. If the families are still deciding on the wedding date itself, read the wedding dates guide for 2027. Keep the engagement a few weeks ahead so that invitations, outfits and rituals are not squeezed into the same fortnight.

If None of the Four Dates Works for You

The engine list for Delhi continues in May with 7 May from 11:44 PM to 5:44 AM the next morning, 24 May from 11:03 PM to 5:33 AM, and 31 May from 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM. June has 10, 16 and 21 June. Confirm each with your own city and kundli before you plan. See Vivah muhurat 2027 for the year view, and the March 2027 vivah muhurat and February 2027 vivah muhurat pages if you want to marry sooner.

April Versus May: Which Month to Choose

April gives four dates, two of them clear of Bhadra, and arrives right after Meena Kharmas. May has fewer choices and all three listed windows run through the night into the early morning, but it gives more time to book. The practical test is simple: choose the month in which both families, the pandit and the key relatives are free, and where the kundali match is strong. A good chart match on a slightly less convenient date usually serves a family better than a perfect date on a weak match.

The religious muhurat and the legal registration are separate steps. You may register on any working day that your local registrar offers, and the ceremony date does not have to match it. Check the document list with the registrar of your district, because requirements differ by state. If a partner lives abroad, read about foreign spouse prediction and plan paperwork early. We give timing guidance only and not legal advice, so confirm legal steps with the registrar or a lawyer.

After the Wedding: Griha Pravesh and First Rituals

After the wedding, the new home and the bride entry ritual follow. If you plan a housewarming for the couple, check the Griha Pravesh Muhurat Calculator separately, because a good wedding date does not automatically make a good griha pravesh date. If a baby is planned later, the child birth muhurat guide is a separate topic with its own rules. Plan the first rituals with the pandit while the wedding date is still being confirmed.

Common Mistakes Families Make With April Dates

Mistake one is booking a hall before checking the kundali match. Mistake two is copying a date from a general calendar without checking the city. Mistake three is ignoring Bhadra because the nakshatra looks good. Mistake four is reading an early-morning listing as the wrong night. Mistake five is waiting too long and finding the best windows taken. Avoid these by using one verified source, then confirming with your pandit. Read manglik non-manglik marriage if that question is open in your family.

Free Tools to Check Your Date

Start with the Shubh Muhurat Calculator for your city, then the Janam Kundali Calculator to see your chart. The Manglik Dosh Calculator and the Dasha Calculator complete a quick pre-check. If you want to understand the houses behind the answer, open the houses guide and the Mangal dosha explainer. All of these are free and need no signup.

Book Personal Guidance for Your Wedding Muhurat

A calculator gives you the engine output, but your chart, your families and your city make the final decision. For a personal check, book a consultation through the Trikaal Vaani services page, where Rohiit Gupta reviews the match, the dasha and the muhurat together. Slots are limited in the busy weeks before a wedding date, so book once the date is shortlisted. The first step is free: run the calculator, note your two best dates, and bring them to the call.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the vivah muhurat dates in April 2027?

For Delhi the Trikaal Vaani engine lists 16, 21, 23 and 28 April 2027. The windows are 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, 3:35 AM to 4:45 AM, 2:14 PM to 4:24 AM the next morning, and 5:50 AM to 12:35 PM. Other cities see different clock times, so check your own city.

Why are there no vivah muhurat dates before 16 April 2027?

The Sun is in Meena from about 15 March to about 14 April 2027, and weddings are traditionally paused in this Meena Kharmas. The Sun enters Mesha on about 14 April, which reopens the season, and the first engine date after that is 16 April.

Is the 16 April 2027 muhurat inside Bhadra?

Yes. The engine lists 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, which falls on the morning of 17 April. By our check the Vishti karana runs from about 10:26 PM on 16 April to about 9:30 AM on 17 April, so the whole window lies inside Bhadra. Discuss this date with your pandit before booking.

Is the 23 April 2027 muhurat inside Bhadra?

Mostly. Vanija karana runs until about 3:56 PM, and Vishti runs from then until about 4:22 AM on 24 April. Only the first hour and forty minutes of the 2:14 PM start are clear of Bhadra. Ask your pandit whether to use only that early slot.

Which April 2027 dates are clear of Bhadra?

By our check 21 April and 28 April are clear. The 21 April window has Taitila karana and the 28 April window has Bava and Balava. Brihat Samhita asks us to avoid Vishti at a wedding, so these two are the cleaner options. Confirm with your pandit as well.

Does the 21 April listing mean the night of 21 April or 22 April?

The engine lists windows by panchang day, which runs from sunrise to sunrise. The 3:35 AM to 4:45 AM window under 21 April therefore falls in the early hours of 22 April, when Dwitiya begins at about 3:35 AM. Confirm the exact night with your pandit.

Which April 2027 date is longest?

The 28 April window runs from 5:50 AM to 12:35 PM with the Moon in Uttara Ashadha and Mithun lagna, and it is clear of Bhadra. Plan the main pheras before noon. The 23 April window is longer on paper but most of it is inside Bhadra.

Do vivah muhurat timings change by city?

Yes. Sunrise, lagna and the moment a tithi or karana changes depend on latitude and longitude. A window in Mumbai, Kolkata or London starts and ends at different clock times, and a date can drop out of the list. Run the Shubh Muhurat Calculator for your own place.

Can a Manglik couple marry on these April dates?

The match matters more than the date. Mars placement, its strength and the partner chart decide the effect. Run the Manglik Dosh Calculator and a Kundali matching check first, then choose the date. Remedies are calm and affordable and never fear-based.

What are the next dates if April does not suit me?

For Delhi the engine lists 7, 24 and 31 May 2027, all running from late night into the early morning, and then 10, 16 and 21 June. Confirm each for your city and kundli. Book halls and pandits early and keep one written backup date.
